Churwell Methodist church has been witnessing in the community for over two hundred years. At present we are a small congregation now meeting in the local community centre.

Being part of the community we try to support projects where ever possible. We hold regular bible study, and our members are always willing to take part in worship.

The Community Centre limits our ability to hold certain events, but we are able through our financial resources to support the work of the church and the community.

The Move from Churwell Church

In 2015 the members at Churwell Methodist Church were faced with a difficult decision. The amount of money needed to keep our building safe was more than we had or could raise, so in September of 2015 we had our final service (harvest) and the following week we began life in our new home at Churwell Community Centre.

After 11 years everyone is glad we made the decision to move. This is the fourth in our churches 200 years of history now we are creating new memories as we move forward into the 21st Century.
