Minister: Rev. Dr David Barker

The Church is an imposing building given a Grade 2 listing in 1985; and located in the centre of the town. The first Chapel was built on the existing site in 1835, and was called Eastthorpe Lane Chapel. The Sunday School was built in 1861; and was eventually linked to the Church by a kitchen extension. It was demolished in 2012 during the refurbishment of the community rooms.

The congregation quickly outgrew this building and in 1877 Marmaduke Fox gave liberally to enable the present building to be constructed. The generosity of Mirfield people and the congregation meant the Church was free of debt within 6 years.

In 1892 a new organ was installed. The organ, which is still in excellent working order, is recognised as a rare antique among organ enthusiasts. According to the National Pipe Organ Register, entry number SE2019, it is described as built by James Conacher & Sons Huddersfield with a sumptuous case and panels of 'burr pitch pine', carved brackets andpipe bowls with 8' spotted metal pipes.

The two side vestries were installed in the 1920s.The ground floor was sympathetically refurbished in 2013 bringing its facilities into the 21st Century.
